MEC Kgetjepe to return to Molautsi High School with MTN
Limpopo Education MEC Ishmael Kgetjepe, will tomorrow, together with MTN, return to Molautsi High, after visiting the school recently, in a quest to motivate learners to focus on their studies in the light of the scourge of teen pregnancy amongst the learners. A team of social workers and psychologists has been established to assist the learners and the teachers as most learners hail from child headed families, while others live with their grandparents and single parents.
The MEC will be checking progress made since his last visit and to remind learners to stay focused on their academic activities. Together with MTN, they will on top of delivering motivational talks, handover bicycles, school bags and learner support material as part of giving the school the much needed support.
The role of the department is to ensure that every child receives quality education as Education is a pre-condition for development.
