On Friday, 19 October 2007 four Senior Officials at Seshego Hospital near Polokwane were shot dead by a former colleague. The late officials are Ms MM Putuka, the then CEO, Mr A Rambuda, Corporate Services officer, Mr J Maanda Labour Relations officer and G Mamashela, Transport officer.
Friday, 19 October 2012 will marks five years since the tragedy took place.
The Department of Health will be tomorrow host a fifth year commemoration of the Seshego Hospital Tragedy. We would really appreciate your presence as members of the media to help highlight the importance.
As to part of the event, the department will name four buildings after the officials who lost their lives on that fateful day and unveil the plagues to that effect.
