MEC to hand over dipping tank

Honourable MEC for Rural Development and Agrarian Reform Zoleka Capa cordially invites members of the media to join her as she will be officially handing over a dipping tank to the community of Lurhasini village in Libode.

The dipping tank was built with a donation business Mr Dan Pasiya and the involvement of business people, non-governmental organisations (NGO), traditional leaders, religious organisations and other stakeholders in developing rural area is part of the Department's Zero Hunger Campaign strategy.

The MEC has hailed the initiative by the business as a landmark development and a proof that when all stakeholders work together with aim of developing rural areas things become possible.

The department has been engaging different stakeholder who have interest in developing rural areas to come on board and forge partnerships with the department so that a meaningful impact be made. Mr Pasiya's initiative was welcomed by the MEC and she called on other business people to follow suit because the department or government cannot achieve its goals without the help of other stakeholder.

The department, as part of its livestock improvement programme will provide the community with the Nguni bulls and plans are afoot to train the youth of this village in brick making, which the department is engaged in with the Construction Seta.
