MEC Grant to officially open Klapmuts Primary School

Replacing schools built with inappropriate materials is a major priority for this government. That is why, over the current Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF), the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) will be replacing 25 schools built with wood or chipboard with brick and mortar materials.

On Tuesday, 27 September, MEC Donald Grant will be officially opening the Klapmuts Primary School, which was first built using inappropriate materials in 1976. The school has now been replaced with a brick and mortar structure in a joint project by the WCED and the Independent Development Trust.

Media are invited to attend this special occasion with us.
