Improving the reading, writing and calculating skills of our learners are a number one priority for this administration.
In order to target individual needs and improve literacy and numeracy performance in the province, the department has set extensive tests for grade three and six learners.
Tomorrow, MEC Grant will be announcing the grade six assessments results for 2009, as well as plans and targets for future improvements in literacy and numeracy across the province.
