Eastern Cape MEC for Transport and Safety Ghishma Barry will officially launch the Alfred Nzo District Village Committees at Mount Ayliff Sport Ground tomorrow 8 July 2009 at 10h00.
The village committees work in small areas which make the environment safer through doing patrols and neighbourhood watch, working together with Community Police Forums (CPFs) and South African Police Service (SAPS).
