Eastern Cape MEC for Transport, Safety and Liaison, Ms Ghishma Barry, will officially launch this year’s provincial Safety and Security month programme with a press conference to be held at number 12, St Georges Road, Southernhood, East London today, at 14h00.
MEC Barry is expected to unveil this month’s programme, which mainly focuses on:
* popularising the firearm amnesty
* demonstrating our state of readiness for the 2010 FIFA World Cup
* mass mobilisation against crime
