Gauteng MEC for the Department of Infrastructure Development, Ms Faith Mazibuko will deliver the department’s budget vote speech at the Gauteng Legislature on Tuesday, 1 June 2010, starting at 10h00. The speech will be the second by MEC Mazibuko after the split of the Department of Public Transport, Roads and Works.
The MEC will highlight what the department has achieved in its first financial year and chart the way forward in respect of building and maintenance of public infrastructure such as schools, clinics and hospitals, creation of job opportunities and development of skills through the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP), whilst showcasing and outlining the programmes, aims and objectives of the department.
