MEC Creecy launches Saturday classes for Grade 12s

The Gauteng MEC for Education Barbara Creecy will on Saturday, 26 February 2011 launch the expanded Secondary School Improvement Programme (SSIP). SSIP targets 51 000 grade 12 learners in 391 schools that achieved less than 80% pass rate in the 2010 matric exams.

The programme offers extra classes every Saturday to Grade 12 learners in the following subjects: Maths, Maths Literacy, Accounting, Physical Science, Life Science, History and Geography. The programme will also be offered during school holidays.

Prominent artists will accompany the MEC to motivate learners and encourage them to attend all SSIP classes.
