The Gauteng MEC for Education Ms Barbara Creecy will on Sunday, 12 February 2012 officially launch the Gauteng 2012 School Governing Body (SGB) Elections.
The elections will run from 1 March to 31 March 2012 in all public schools across the province.
School governing bodies have the authority to decide on school policies such as language of instruction, discipline and religious policies.
Parents and guardians are invited to participate in the elections.
