Mdladlana addresses fishing community

Labour Minister, Membathisi Mdladlana will be addressing fishing industry employers and employees in the Arniston area on Friday, 1 October 2010. His visit follows the recent International Labour Organisation’s Governing Body discussions on the Work in the Fishing Sector.

One of the resolutions taken at this convention was that conditions of employment in the fishing sector in South Africa should be regulated.

The convention deals with issues relating to conditions of service, medical care, health protection and social security as well as compliance and enforcement.
