Mdladlana to address the National Bargaining Council Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The importance of social dialogue and how collective bargaining contributes to democracy and social stability, are expected to take centre stage when Labour Minister, Membathisi Mdladlana addresses the Annual General Meeting of the National Bargaining Council for the Clothing Manufacturing Industry in Cape Town tomorrow, 12 October.

The annual general meeting takes place at a time when the bargaining council is faced with challenges of non compliance by some employers with the collective agreement of the council. The council has served notices on about 400 clothing manufactures who do not comply with its collective agreement.
