It is that time of the year again when the Mangaung African Cultural Festival (Macufe) fever will be engulfing the Free State province and the country at large. Macufe 2009 will be happening from 2 to 11 October.
The 2009 Macufe edition promises to build on the strength of last year's event which dramatically reconfigured the image of this festival. Preparations for the 2009 edition have already started in earnest. The official media launch of the 2009 programme will take place during the first week of September. The Macufe 2009 details, including the names of artists to perform, the theme and so on, will be unveiled at the media launch.
The Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, in partnership with various partners and stakeholders is proud to present the 12th Mangaung African Cultural Festival.
