Makgoe injects 5.8 million for laptops

Free State Department of Education MEC, Tate Makgoe will provide 302 laptops amounting to R 5, 800, 720, 22 to subject advisors on Thursday, 23 June in Bloemfontein at Ilanga Estate.

The provision of laptops to subject advisors mark a great achievement as the department moves public education into digital age to fast track the process of learning and teaching.

Subject advisors play an important role of improving and strengthening curriculum support to schools and are the main intermediary between curriculum policy and classroom practice.

Equipping subject advisors with laptops is part of the department plan availing infornation and communication technology (ICT) resources to transform and improve the overall quality of education to match the world standard.
