Free State MEC of Education, Tate Makgoe will address the Sustainable Rural Learning Ecologies (SuRLEc) colloquium on Friday, 25 November in Qwa – Qwa at the University of Free State.
The purpose of the colloquium is to find ways and means of enhancing rural education in the country.
About 70 research papers on rural education will be presented by education consultants, policy makers, Free State Department of Education officials and academics from University of Kwa -Zulu Natal, Cape Peninsula University of Technology, University of South Africa, University of Limpopo, North West University, Venda University and the University of Free State.
The expected outcome of the colloquium is to implement the research findings to help improve the lives of rural marginalised communities and curb poverty by providing them with quality education.
