Limpopo MEC for Health and Social Development, Mme Dikeledi Magadzi will today celebrate the International Day of Families with orphans, neglected children and their families as part of the social department's endevour to fight poverty and to integrate these children with families.
MEC Magadzi will deliver the keynote address during the event to be held at the Place of Safety, Polokwane.
It is expected that the MEC will address issues relating to the importance of families in development and the fight against poverty, including the need for families to monitor their children and relatives to ensure that they do not fall into the trap of drug, alcohol and substance abuse.
The International family day celebration in Limpopo will attract children and families from all districts in the province.
