Limpopo Youth Commission tackling challenges of social networking sites

The Limpopo Youth Commission, Mahuma Arts and Communications (main sponsor) have joined hands with Paul Rapetsoa Institute for Dramatic Arts (PRIDA) to highlight the dangers, advantages and disadvantages of the ever evolving social networking site, Mxit, Facebook, Toilet, Twitter and so many others.

Limpopo Youth Commission believes that plays and stage dramas are an important tool to communicate a message of hope to young people of the province; particularly those who are still at school were access to cellphones is at a high level.

The Commission will take more than 40 young people from various disability organisations to watch ‘cant wait’, one of the plays designed to educate and inform young people about the social networking sites. Together with Mahuma Arts and Communications we believe that this initiative will go a long way to prevent disappearances of young girls that come as a result of these sites that can be used by Paedophiles to woo unsuspecting youth.

We further encourage parents, teachers and the community at larger to make time by being part of the campaign as follows:
