Limpopo provincial government celebrates Africa Day

The Office of the Premier in conjunction with the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture in Limpopo will celebrate Africa day by hosting Africa day seminar, fashion show, rally and soccer tournament of the South African and Botswana legends.

The celebration of the Africa Day in Limpopo Province will serve as a reminder of the gathering of African heads of state that took place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on 25 May 1963, whereby Organisation of National Unity (OAU) was established. In July 2001, the OAU was transformed into African Union, with the mandate to build united, prosperous and peaceful African continent and people, and to strengthen linkages and networks of various economic blocks to establish one African economic Community of Nations, as well as to promote good governance and human rights.
