Limpopo, South Africa is the host INAS-FID 5th World Football Championships for the intellectually impaired people. The event is going to take place from 21 August to 12 September 2010 in Limpopo. Members of the media are invited to attend a media briefing on the championships.
The championships, featuring 15 countries among others Mexico, Argentina, South Africa, Brazil, Portugal, Germany, The Netherlands, France, South Korea and Turkey will be hosted by the Capricorn and Mopani District Municipalities at the Peter Mokaba Sports Complex, Oscar Mpetha, Giyani and Nkowankowa Stadiums.
INAS-FID is the international sports federation for people with intellectual disabilities. The championships are hosted in the same year and by the same host country as the FIFA World Cup event and will be hosted in the province by the South African Sports Association for the Intellectually Impaired (SASA-II) in cooperation with Limpopo Provincial Government, Sport and Recreation South Africa and the Lottery Distribution Fund.
