The Limpopo Department of Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Tradition Affairs will once again honour stakeholders in the housing value chain: developers, contractors and community resource organisations that have committed to partner with government in building integrated sustainable human settlements and making the millennium development goals achievable by 2014.

The awards are meant to motivate all stakeholders in the Human Settlements space to harness the human in accelerating delivery. The awards provide an opportunity for sharing information, lessons learnt, strengthening of existing, the development of new partnerships and the replication of successful initiatives.
Govan Mbeki awards are aimed at showcasing and demonstrating excellent work done with special emphasis to the department’s programmes, and further promote best practices in the delivery of the core mandate. The awards should be seen in the very same spirit that will assist the department in realising its core mandate of integrated sustainable human settlements development.
