Limpopo Cabinet embarks on a Public Participation Programme

Limpopo Premier, Mr Cassel Mathale, will lead Members of the Executive Council (MECs) to Ramokgopha (Botlokwa) in the Capricorn District as part of the Public Participation Programme.The event is scheduled to take place as follows:

The Public Participation Programme (PPP) is the initiative of the provincial government to accelerate on the degree of interaction with communities as a way of strengthening constitutional (participatory) democracy and giving shape to the developmental character of the provincial government.

The PPP further serves to ensure the interests of the society are protected and cared for by their elected representatives. The national government has adopted Limpopo’s model of conducting Public Participation Programmes.

The programme will be conducted in the various districts in the coming months where the Limpopo Cabinet will make visible efforts to improve the lives of the citizenry and continue with the fight against poverty, underdevelopment and unemployment.

Government departments and their parastatals will exhibit and provide services at the spot. These departments include Home Affairs, South African Social Security Agency, South African Police Service, districts and local Municipalities.
