South Africa is to launch the second phase report on the country’s enforcement of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials in international business transactions and related instruments.
The 38 country OECD Working Group on Bribery which reviewed the country highlighted positive aspects of South Africa’s efforts to fight foreign bribery, including a strong legislative framework for combating foreign bribery under the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act.
Members of the media are invited to the launch of the second phase report briefing by the OECD Secretary General, Angel Gurria and Public Service and Administration Minister, Richard Baloyi.
