Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe will on Saturday, 25 August 2012, attend the launch of the National Council Against Gender-Based Violence by the Ministry of Women, Children and People with Disabilities, at OR Tambo Airport, Kempton Park.
The Council will be a high-level multi-sectoral national response to the scourge of gender-based violence. A wide range of stakeholders within government and civil society have been consulted on the establishment of the council.
