Members of the media are invited to the launch of the third edition of the Development Indicators 2009 published by The Presidency.
The Minister for Planning in the Presidency, Mr Trevor Manuel, and Mr Joel Netshitenzhe will present the indicators followed by a brief commentary from a panel of experts.
The indicators provide a framework to present aggregate data on progress in human development since 1994. South Africa is one of a few countries in the world that regularly publishes these indicators.
