Labour Director-General Nkosinathi Nhleko to brief media on the closure of public private partnership (PPP) and new
Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Strategy

The Department of Labour is currently implementing the winding of the public private partnership (PPP) with Siemens. As a result of the significance of this closure, a number of misconceptions have been floating about in the ‘market’.

Labour Director-General Nkosinathi Nhleko is pleased to invite the media to a press conference to announce details in regard to the end of the R1,2 billion, 10 year contract with Siemens.

Nhleko will inform the public on the status of the PPP contract closure and the way forward for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) plans in the Department. The Director-General will use the briefing to update on the recently unveiled ICT Strategy including the PPP transition strategy, future ICT service delivery model and number of initiatives planned post the PPP.

The media briefing to announce PPP closure and the new ICT Strategy Implementation will be held:

Venue: Pretoria, Laboria House at Ground Floor, Room G01- address number 215 Francis Baard Street (formerly Schoeman Street) and corner Paul Kruger. Preferably use the Francis Baard (Schoeman Street) entrance which is closer to the venue.

NB: Parking is available at Francis Baard Street (formerly Schoeman Street) opposite the department’s Laboria building and also at corner Paul Kruger and Nana Sita Street (formerly Skinner Street).
