In its effort to strengthen its oversight role the Portfolio Committee on Labour will embark on oversight visit in Free State next week, 25 to 29 July. The purpose of the visit is to assess whether the department has been able to reposition labour centres for improved and effective service delivery.
The committee will also evaluate whether the department has empowered its staff at access points to deliver the entire suite of its services and information inclusive of employment services, social security and labour protection services.
