What: Kick TB Activation
When:14th - 17th August 2012
Where:Senekal (14th), Bethlehem (15th) and Phuthaditjhaba (16th - 17th)
Who & How:
The Free State Department of Health TB Management Directorate in partnership with National TB Control and Management and Desmond Tutu Foundation, will be taking the Kick TB Activation campaign to eight Health Promoting Schools in the Thabo Mofutsanyana District. The towns to be visited are Senekal, Bethlehem and Phuthaditjhaba from the 14-17 August 2012. Two schools will be visited per day in each town.

- 14 August 2012: Senekal: Rorisang Primary School -11h00
- 15 August 2012: Bethlehem: Matswathaka Primary School - 08h00
- 15 August 2012: Bethlehem: Nthute Primary School - 11h00
- 16 August 2012: Makwane: Tswelang Pele School - 8h00
- 16 August 2012: Makwane: Liqhobong Primary School - 11h00
- 17 August 2012: Bluegumbosch: Tharollo Primary School - 08h00
- 17 August 2012: Phuthaditjhaba: Akofang Primary School - 11h00
Why:
TB disease, when not cured, is one of the leading causes of death in South Africa. Proper education of preventing it and curing it are very important in ensuring that our society can defeat this illness. This events will teach children about identifying the symptoms of TB, ways of combating TB, maintaining a healthy lifestyle amongst other activities.
