The North West Provincial Legislature Portfolio Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development will be holding a joint oversight visit with the National Portfolio Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries across the province from 18 - 22 June 2012.
The purpose of the visits will amongst others be to assess how the principles of the Comprehensive Rural Development Projects are practically implemented, to monitor and assess progress made with regard to job creation for households, food security and livelihood activities, and to assess linkages between agrarian reform and rural development projects.
