Following interactions with citizens in five provinces in the past three weeks, the National Council of Provinces’ (NCOP) Ad Hoc Committee on the Protection of State Information Bill will hold public hearings in the North West tomorrow on Tuesday, 21 February2012.
The 15 member committee will be divided into two groups for hearings that will take place in the Bojanala District Municipality and the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality.
This forms part of the NCOP’s process of getting the public’s input on the proposed legislature and affording citizens an opportunity to make their voices heard on the Bill.
The public hearings have so far been held in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Free State, Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal.
Details for tomorrow’s public hearings are as follows:
Group 1: Bojanala District Municipality
Time: 9h00 - 16h00
Venue: Rustenburg Civic Centre
Group 2: Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality
Time: 9h00 - 16h00
