The Department of Energy, Northern Cape Regional office invites members of the media to attend the workshop on women and energy issues. Previously, Black women in South Africa were the least empowered group in terms of any form of access to business opportunities.
It is for this reason that there is a need for women to focus on addressing their unique position and facilitate their participation in business opportunities, particularly in the activities of oil, gas, and other energy sectors in South Africa.
The purpose of the workshop is to engage business minded women and those who aspire to get into the business opportunities available in the energy sector and to ensure that women have a basic understanding of the energy sector in all provinces of our country.
