International Relations committee hosts symposium on Middle East conflict

Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on International Relations and Cooperation will tomorrow (Wednesday, 16 November) host a symposium to discuss the Middle East conflict.

The theme of the symposium is: “Lessons of the South African experience, Thoughts on the Middle East including the Palestinian question and its recent bid to the United Nations for full membership.”

Venue: Cape Town Lodge Hotel, Buitengracht Street, Cape Town
Time: 9h00

Other meetings on the programme tomorrow include the Portfolio Committee on Human Settlements being briefed by the Department of Human Settlements on the turnaround strategy and progress made with recommendations on the Rural Household Infrastructure Programme (RHIP).

The Committee rejected the department’s turnaround strategy last week and requested the officials to return this week for another presentation. The briefing will be held in Committee Room 1, 90 Plein, Upper Ground Floor, at 09h00.
