The Eastern Cape House of Traditional Leaders in partnership with Department of Education will be embarking on an Intensive Initiation campaign whereby they will visit areas and schools affected by high death of young initiates.
This campaign is aimed at minimising and thus reducing the scourge of death during initiation. The House of Traditional Leaders will be led by the Chairperson, Nkosi Ngangomhlaba Matanzima accompanied by the following stakeholders: Department of Education, Department of Health, South African Police Service (SAPS) and the Department of Sports, Recreation Arts and Culture.
The theme for this outreach is 'Bantwana bethu nilithemba leli lizwe'.
