The Department of Energy cordially invites members of the media to attend the integrated resources plan (IRP2010) public hearings organised as follows:

Purpose of roadshow:
- To engage the Western Cape community in a dialogue on the Integrated resources plan issues through South African media;
- To create a platform where the public interact with Department of Energy Senior officials and energy stakeholders on the IRP processes:
- To discuss plausible futures and policy options to be considered in the Integrated Resource Plan
- To also encourage active participation on energy issues by the Western Cape Community.
Speakers on the day will include inter-alia: Director-General, Ms Nelisiwe Magubane, Deputy Director-General for Electricity, Nuclear and Clean Energy, Mr Ompi Aphane; and other energy stakeholder representatives.
