With about four months to the FIFA Soccer World Cup, the Deputy Minister of Health, Dr Molefi Sefularo, will on Saturday, 6 February 2010, conduct an inspection of the state of readiness of the North West province.
The Deputy Minister will be accompanied by the Surgeon General of the South African Military Health Services (SAHMS). This is the second Deputy Minister’s inspection visit after he started his fact-finding mission in Limpopo on Saturday, 23 January 2010.
The Deputy Minister’s visit to North West will start with a briefing by the Members of the Executive Councils (MECs) of Health and Sports, Ms Rebecca Kasienyane and Ms Grace Pampiri, respectively at 09h00. This will be followed by a hospital visits to check staffing levels and bed availability, an inspection of ambulances and medical centres at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium.
