Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) to hold public hearings on the Discussion Document on Ownership and Control

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa hereby invites all interested parties to a three day public hearing on the Discussion Document on Ownership and Control for Broadcasting Services, Electronic Communications Services and Electronic Communications Network Services.

The authority published the discussion document on 17 November 2009, in the General Notice 1532, Government Gazette Number 32719. The authority invited interested parties, stakeholders and the public to respond to the issues raised in the discussion document within a particular timeframe.

The written submissions on the discussion document are available at the authority's library between 09h00 to 16h30 on weekdays.

The hearings will be held as follows:
