The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa hereby invites all interested parties to a one day public hearing on the draft code of conduct on the sale, lease, rental or subsidisation of subscriber equipment.
The authority published the draft regulations on 11 December 2009 in the Government Gazette No. 32803 inviting interested parties, stakeholders and the general public to make written representations for consideration by the authority.
The draft regulations were published in terms of sections 69(3) and 69(5) (a), (d), (e) and (f) of the Electronic Communications Act No 36 of 2005.
