The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) is celebrating the World Consumer Rights Day through the provincial campaigns scheduled to take place from 15 - 28 March 2012. The theme for the campaigns is: Advance the Building of a Digital Society, Reach out and Bridge the Digital Divide.
The objectives of the campaigns are:
- To provide a platform for communities to engage with the Authority and the Licensees on access to communication services.
- To provide a platform for Licensees to update communities about their vision on universal service and access to communications services.
- To provide a platform for the Authority to update communities on the regulation of ICT sector.
- To provide an opportunity for consumers to lodge their complaints with the Authority at the campaigns.
