Imbizo programme

The North West Provincial Government will embark on a Public Participation Week (previously known as imbizo) as part of its objective to strengthen its partnership with communities in order to accelerate service delivery.

Taking place under the theme: "Working together we can do more", the programme proceeds from the premise that ordinary citizens are their own liberators and thus can contribute solutions to some of the challenges facing our society. Public Participation Week is therefore an important platform for citizens and their organised formations to engage their elected public representatives around issues of governance, transformation and service delivery.

The dates for the North West Public Participation Week are as follows:
* Friday, 13 November 2009: Vryburg
* 14 November 2009: Mogopa (Ventersdorp)
* 16 November 2009: Moeka (Moretele)
* 18 November 2009: Setlagole (Ratlou)

The programme starts at 09h00

Members of the media are invited to attend
