Minister of Human Settlements Tokyo Sexwale will next week host the Govan Mbeki Awards aimed at recognising excellence in the sector.
The awards ceremony will be a celebration of partnerships, achievements and an acknowledgement of all role players for their contribution towards the creation of sustainable human settlements in South Africa.
Winners, who will include provincial human settlements departments, metropolitan municipalities, women and youth contractors, among others, will share prize money that runs into millions of rands.
