Human Settlements Deputy Minister Zoe Kota-Fredericks will on Monday, 13 December 2010 hand over 106 houses, including houses specifically built for the disabled in Nyanga, Cape Town.
The houses are part of the People’s Housing Project (PHP) that upon completion will result in 278 housing units built. Residents have grouped themselves to form the Masiphathisane Association with the aim of working together to build their own houses when they are awarded housing subsidies.
The deputy minister will be accompanied by provincial MEC for Human Settlements Bonginkosi Madikizela.
