The Gauteng Department of Local Government and Housing MEC Humphrey Mmemezi and Emfuleni Local Municipality Mayor Cllr. Greta Hlongwane will tomorrow officially launch the Kwa -Masiza hostel redevelopment in Sebokeng. The hostel will be converted into Community Residential Units (CRU).
This hostel which was previously owned by ISKOR steel company was transferred to the Emfuleni Local Municipality last year.
After the transfer, assessment was done to determine the damage and evaluate the refurbishment that needed to be done in order to bring the hostel to an acceptable habitable condition.
