Home Affairs Minister to hand over school to community in
Bulwer

Minister Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma will tomorrow, Friday, 19 November, participate in a handing over ceremony of the Bhidla Primary School back to the Bulwer Community in Northern KwaZulu-Natal which was destroyed by a hurricane which swept the area in 2009 causing serious destruction of infrastructure in the area.

Following this devastation, Minister Dlamini Zuma approached the President of the African Rainbow Minerals (ARM) Patrice Motsepe to assist in rebuilding school as part of his company’s corporate social responsibility.

“We are indeed proud of the work that Patrice Motsepe and his company have done to contribute to the rebuilding of the school and therefore contribute to the social upliftment of the community,” said Minister Dlamini Zuma.

“This underlines our approach that working together as business, government and indeed our communities we can build a better quality of life for all our people. In this regard, we call on all businesses to emulate the example set by Patrice Motsepe in contributing to the development of Bulwer by assisting needy communities throughout the country,” concluded Minister Dlamini Zuma.
