Home Affairs Minister Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma to pay official visit to Egypt

Home Affairs Minister Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma will today Friday, 20 April 2012 depart for Cairo, Egypt where she is scheduled to hold bilateral discussions with her Egyptian counterpart, Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim Youssef on Sunday, 22 April 2012. 

Minister Dlamini Zuma will pay an official visit to the Egyptian capital from Saturday – Monday 21-23 April 2012 during which she is also scheduled to hold discussions with the Foreign Minister, Mohamed K Amr and the Minister of International Co-operation and Planning, Fayza Adoul Naga.

Minister Dlamini Zuma’s visit to Egypt comes within the context of the Department’s commitment to collaborate with continental partners with a view to the effective management of immigration into the country.

Minister Dlamini Zuma is also expected to deliver a keynote address, entitled “Economic Liberation: the Role of the African Union,” at a seminar in honour of the African National Congress (ANCs) Centenary commemorations at the Cairo University on Monday 23 April 2012.

Minister Dlamini Zuma is expected to return to South Africa on Tuesday 24 April 2012 ahead of the Department’s Budget Vote in Parliament on Wednesday 25 April 2012.
