On Friday 28 October 2011, Eastern Cape Premier Ms Noxolo Kiviet will meet Minister of Public Enterprises, Mr Malusi Gigaba at the Regent Hotel in East London.
Among the key matters to be addressed in the meeting will be the Capital Expenditure programmes (Capex) currently underway in the province and ways to ensure Eastern Cape development is effectively assisted by the infrastructure development plans put forward by national government.
The meeting will also be attended by the MEC of Economic Development Mcebisi Jonas along with the CEOs of major infrastructural public companies such as Eskom, Transnet and Infraco Broadband.
These engagements are among those being taken by the Minister to synergise the Capex efforts of the state companies under his oversight to align with best economic interest of the province and the country.
A media briefing will then be held to communicate the outcome of the meeting at 12h30 at the Regent Hotel.
