Health Minister hosts Indaba on National Quality Health Programme

Health Minister Dr Aaron Motsoaledi will tomorrow, 6 October 2010 hosts a crucial meeting on National Quality Health Programme as part of preparing the ground for the National Health Insurance (NHI).

The Minister will be joined by the health MECs, United Kingdom High Commissioner in South Africa, representatives of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and members of the civil society.

The meeting, also to be addressed by Lord Nigel Crisp will be informed by the following objectives:

  • sharing international experience in implementing National Quality Assurance Programme using standards
  • sccreditation and quality improvement levers, and
  • establishing common understanding of the National Quality Programme.
