Health Deputy Minister of Health, Dr Gwendoline Ramokgopa, will assemble with a group of political leaders and community members in a memorial service of teachers and learners from Phumulani Gardens Primary School, Ekurhuleni Municipality who died in the tragic road accident in Harrismith on Monday, 3 October 2011.
The memorial service will be held on the 6th of October at Leondale Community Hall in Leondale along the N3. It will start at 09h00.
Dr Ramokgopa will also join the delegation with Executive Mayor of Ekurhuleni Municipality, Mr Mondli Gungubele to meet with families whose houses collapsed as the tornado on Sunday, 2 October 2011, ripped through the Cool Breeze section in Duduza.
The tornado caused infrastructural damage to houses, electrical pylons, power lines and uprooted trees. More than 550 RDP houses were destroyed.
