North West Department of Health care workers in Sannieshof will today embark on countless door to door visits and blitz activities in busy spots to put emphasis on messages aimed at reigniting the importance of using condoms to avoid sexually transmitted infections and unwanted pregnancies.
This is done in accordance with the national STIs / condom week under the theme “South Africa cares and taking responsibility on the path to improving sexual and reproductive health by promoting healthy lifestyle”. The door to door activities are a departmental campaign aimed at raising awareness about sexually transmitted infections and unwanted pregnancies which will reach climax on Friday, 16 March 2012 with an event scheduled to start 10h00 at Sannishof stadium.
MEC Dr Magome Masike will address the final leg of awareness at Sannieshof stadium.
