Graduation ceremony, Henrietta Stockdale Nursing College


The MEC of Health in the province, Mr Mxolisi Sokatsha, hereby invites all media to the officially graduation ceremony of the Henrietta Stockdale Nursing College in Kimberley, Frances Baard district, Northern Cape province.

For government, it is always pleasing to witness the injection of yet another group of young nurses into the health service and an improvement in national and provincial statistics, which will translate into improved quality of healthcare as well as more accessibility of healthcare, especially in the rural and underserved areas of South Africa and especially the Northern Cape province.

The graduation of these new cadres of health professionals is a direct response to the third point, improving the quality of health services and fifth point, improved human resources planning, development and management of the ten point plan of the health sector.

Other dignitaries expected to accompany the MEC of Health are Members of the Executive Council (MECs), the chairperson and members of the provincial Portfolio Committee on Health, the executive mayor of the Frances Baard district municipality, the mayor of the Sol Plaatjie local municipality, as well as senior officials from the provincial and district Department of Health and the Henrietta Stockdale Nursing College.
