Government to handover houses to victims of violence

The 16 Days of Activism Campaign on No Violence Against Women and Children closes with a major event at the Durban City Hall on Friday, December 10, a day which is also commemorated as International Human Rights Day.

Activities for the day starts at 08h30 with the handover of houses built for the families of the victims of Ntshongweni massacre by the Minister for Women, Children and Persons with Disabilities, Lulu Xingwana and the Deputy Minister of Human Settlements Zoliswa Kota-Fredericks.  

Formal event commences at 11h00 at Durban City Hall and will include address by Minister Xingwana, Deputy Minister Kota-Fredericks, KwaZulu-Natal Premier Zweli Mkhize and eThekwini Mayor Obed Mlaba.
