The Department of the Premier; Youth Affairs Management, together with the Youth Chamber of Commerce and Industries Free State, wishes to invite the media to the launch where they will be introducing the chamber to the people of the Free State as it was elected on the 11 July 2014, at Parys, Mimosa Gardens, Free State.
This launch will address the uncertainty that both the government and private sector might have regarding the state of youth in the Free State, from skills development that is crucial in addressing the current rate of unemployment to participation of youth in the mainstream of economy in the province. We have further acknowledged the damage done to youth business as a result of the protracted period where youth business lacked proper representation in the province. It is, in our view, worrying to realise that decisions regarding youth business are taken in absence of youth; and it is our intention to change those circumstances.
